"White Pansies"

I felt a little fatigue from painting so many brightly coloured flowers, when I started this painting. I felt that I had to add at least one painting of pure white pansies to this collection, to bring a sense of calm and peace to it. 

While I was painting these little faces, I was surprised by how beautiful and delicate a pansy’s face can be, even without the bright and vibrant colors we often love so much. To me, the innocent and calming white brought a lot of peace into my work and I discovered the silent beauty of white colors, while I enjoyed capturing their delicate colour shifts and the beautiful threedimensional shape of the pansy blossoms.

May this painting remind us that we need some calm and peace sometimes, even in the midst of the most beautiful surrounding, and that peace and beauty can be found even in the most pure and humble faces.
